My Show and Tell for this week are these two pictures:
This first one is a postcard that is dated Aril 1907 on the back. I found it at an antique mall a few years ago and thought it was the sweetest little picture. I framed it and have it displayed in our home.
This next picture I found at the same antique mall about a month ago. It is a reproduction of an older print, but I believe this picture and the postcard are by the same artist.
It's hard to tell from this photo but the caption reads "Rain rain go away. Come again some other day. Little girls want to play."
I believe these little cuties are known as "sunbonnet babies" and the artist may be Bernhardt Wall. I found some information about them at http://hartcottagequilts.com/his8.htm. I hope I'm fortunate enough to find more of them on my future treasure hunts.
Thanks for looking at my show and tell and thank you Kelli, for hosting. It's a lot of fun looking at everyone's treasures.

So sweet! I remember my mother singing that little "Rain, Rain, go away," song when I was little. I also remember seeing Sunbonnet Sue quilts back in the day.
